Dominican League: Games of December 4


AGUILAS 7, ESTE 4 IN ESTE

Twins:  Wilkin Ramirez (Este) was used as a substitute and was 0-for-1.
Game summary:  Aguilas scored four runs in the second to take a 4-1 lead.  Este scored one in the third but never got closer.
Aguilas:  Miguel Tejada was 2-for-5 with two home runs.  Miguel Batista pitched six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk.
Este:  Cesar Puello (Mets) was 2-for-3 with a double and a triple, scoring twice.  Jose Ramirez (Cleveland) was 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI.

ORIENTE 8, ESCOGIDO 6 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Jhonatan Arias (Oriente) was used as a reserve but did not bat.  Pedro Florimon (Escogido) was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt.
Game summary:  Brad Snyder hit a two-run homer in the ninth to break a 6-6 tie.
Oriente:  Snyder was 3-for-5 and scored twice.  Juan Diaz (Cleveland) was 2-for-3, scoring twice and driving in one.
Escogido:  Kris Johnson (Pittsburgh) pitched three scoreless, hitless innings, walking one.  Justin Turner (Mets) was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs.

LICEY 11, CIBAO 0 IN CIBAO

Game summary:  Licey scored four in the fourth to break a scoreless tie.
Licey:  Julio Teheran (Atlanta) worked five scoreless, hitless innings, walking three.  Juan Francisco (Atlanta) was 2-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs.
Cibao:  Hanser Alberto (Texas) was 1-for-1.
