Games of July 3

Fine pitching by Fernando Romero and Tyler Duffey.  Brent Rooker and Royce Lewis are doubles machines.  Clark Beeker pitches well in a loss.  Randy Dobnak has an excellent game.  The E-Twins have an eight-run inning with two hits.  Yeltsin Encarnacion and Andriu Marin lead the GCL Twins.  A comeback for the DSL Twins falls short.

ROCHESTER 2, PAWTUCKET 1 IN PAWTUCKET

An RBI single by Gregorio Petit in the first and by Leonardo Reginnato in the second gave the Red Wings all the runs they needed.  The Red Sox got a home run in the ninth but did not put the tying run on base.
Petit was 3-for-5 with a double.  Edgar Corcino was 2-for-4 and is batting .313.  Reginnato was 2-for-4.
Fernando Romero struck out eight in 5.2 scoreless innings, giving up three hits and five walks.  His ERA is 1.93.  Tyler Duffey pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 1.60.

TENNESSEE 5, CHATTANOOGA 3 IN TENNESSEE

Yasiel Balaguert hit a two-run double in the seventh to break a 3-3 tie.  The Lookouts did not get a hit after that.
Brent Rooker was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.  Mitchell Kranson was 2-for-4 with a double.  Alex Perez was 2-for-5.  Andy Wilkins was 0-for-4 and is batting .309.
Omar Bencomo pitched six innings, giving up three runs on nine hits and two walks and striking out three.

CHARLOTTE 1, FORT MYERS 0 IN CHARLOTTE

Josh Lowe's two-out RBI double in the fifth produced the game's only run.  The Lookouts had just two hits.
Alex Kirilloff was 1-for-3 and is batting .365.  Miguel Sano was 0-for-3 and is batting .333.  Luis Arraez walked in his only plate appearance and was removed from the game.  He is batting .320.  Apparently, he was removed because he was being called up to Chattanooga.
Clark Beeker pitched 5.1 innings, giving up one run on five hits and a walk and striking out one.  Alex Robinson struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

CEDAR RAPIDS 4, WISCONSIN 0 IN WISCONSIN

Jordan Gore had a two-run double in a three-run second.  They added a run in the seventh.
Robby Rinn was 3-for-4 with two doubles and is batting .336.  Jordan Gore was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, driving in two.  He is batting .307.  Royce Lewis was 2-for-5 with a double and is batting .322.  He has 22 doubles, tied for third in the league.
Randy Dobnak pitched 7.2 scoreless innings, giving up six hits and no walks and striking out seven.  Jovani Moran struck out all four batters he faced.  He has 65 strikeouts in 41.1 innings and has an ERA of 2.16.

PRINCETON 5, ELIZABETHTON 4 IN PRINCETON (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)

With the score tied 4-4, Jonathan Aranda hit a one-out double in the sixth.  He was wild pitched to third and a passed ball allowed him to score the lead run.
Trevor Casanova was 2-for-2 with a double and a walk and is batting .400.  Colton Burns was 1-for-3 with a home run.  Ryan Jeffers was 1-for-2 with a walk and is batting .419.  Lean Marrero was 1-for-4 and is batting .333.  Ricky De La Torre was 0-for-3 and is batting .306.  Hunter Lee was 0-for-3 and is 0-for-14 in his professional career.

ELIZABETHTON 10, PRINCETON 6 IN PRINCETON (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)

The Twins trailed 6-2 through six and scored eight in the seventh.  The had only two hits in the eight-run inning, both singles.  The Rays made five errors in the inning, walked five, hit one, and also had a wild pitch and a passed ball.
The Twins had five hits for the game.  DaShawn Keirsey had three of them, going 3-for-4.  He is batting .302.  Ryan Jeffers was 0-for-2 with two walks and two runs.  He is batting .400.  Andrew Cosgrove was 0-for-1 with three walks and is batting .357.  Yunior Severino was 0-for-3 and is batting .344.  Ariel Montesino was 1-for-4 with a double and two runs and is batting .321.
Pedro Garcia pitched just two innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on three hits and three walks and striking out three.  Moises Gomez pitched three innings, giving up one run on two hits and striking out two.  Zach Neff got the win in his professional debut, striking out two in two shutout innings and giving up only a walk.

GCL TWINS 4, GCL ORIOLES 0 AT TWINS

The Twins scored two in the first and two in the fifth.  The Orioles had just two hits.
Yeltsin Encarncaion was 3-for-4 with a home run and two runs.  He is batting .345.  Gabe Snyder was 2-for-4 and is batting .316.  Tyler Webb was 1-for-3 and is batting .389.  Austin Hale was 1-for-2 and is batting .364.  Estamy Urena was 1-for-4 and is batting .333.
Andriu Marin struck out five in five shutout innings, giving up one hit and no walks.  Tanner Howell pitched two shutout innings, giving up one hit and striking out one.  His ERA is 1.45.  Petru Balan pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.  His ERA remains zero in 5.2 innings.  Frandy Torres pitched a scoreless inning, striking out one.  His ERA is 2.45.

DSL NATIONALS 8, DSL TWINS 7 AT NATIONALS

It was 8-1 through seven, but the Twins scored four in the eighth and two in the ninth to make a game of it.  The Twins hit three triples in the ninth, putting the tying run on third with one out, but the last two Twins batters were called out on strikes.
Victor Heredia was 4-for-5 with a triple, a double, and three RBIs.  He is batting .333.  Carlos Aguilar was 2-for-3 with a triple and a walk, scoring twice.  Jesus Feliz was 2-for-4.  Ruben Santana was 1-for-1 and then was removed from the game.  He is batting .357.  Jeferson Morales was 0-for-3 with a walk and is batting .338.
Jose Bermudez pitched only two innings, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks and striking out one.  Yeremi Garcia pitched three shutout innings, giving up one hit and striking out two.  His ERA remains zero through 5.1 innings.

Games of July 2

Home runs by Kennys Vargas and Byron Buxton lead the Red Wings.  Brent Rooker goes deep again as the Lookouts lose.  Alex Kirilloff leads the Miracle.  A big inning sinks the Kernels.  Janigson Villalobos keeps hitting for the GCL Twins.  The DSL Twins win on walks and errors.

ROCHESTER 6, PAWTUCKET 2 IN PAWTUCKET

Byron Buxton led off the game with a home run and Kennys Vargas hit a two-run shot later in the inning to give the Red Wings a 3-0 lead.  Mike Ohlman doubled home two in the bottom of the first, but Rochester got single runs in the second, third, and fifth.
Vargas was 2-for-5 with a double in addition to the home run, his tenth.  He had three RBIs.  Edgar Corcino was 2-for-4 with a home run.  Gregorio Petit was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs.  Buxton was 1-for-4 with a walk in addition to his second home run.  He is batting .217.
I don't know if it counts as a bullpen game when D. J. Baxendale starts or not.  It's his sixth start, but he always goes two or three innings.  In this one, he pitched three, giving up two runs on three hits and a walk and striking out three.  Luke Bard pitched three shutout innings, giving up two hits and striking out one.  Jake Reed pitched two shutout innings, giving up a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 2.28.  John Curtiss pitched a scoreless innings, giving up a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 2.56.

TENNESSEE 5, CHATTANOOGA 4 IN CHATTANOOGA (10 INNINGS)

It was 3-3 through nine.  Alex Perez delivered an RBI single in the top of the tenth.  In the bottom half, Chancer Burks drove in the tying run with a double and scored on a two-out single by Zack Short.
Brent Rooker was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer (his fourteenth) and a double.  Tanner English was 2-for-4 with a home run, his second.  Perez was 2-for-5.  Andy Wilkins was 0-for-3 with a walk and is batting .333.
Lewis Thorpe struck out three in 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk.  Andrew Vasquez struck out four in 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit.  His ERA remains zero in eight innings.  Cody Stashak struck out five in two shutout innings, giving up a walk.

FORT MYERS 11, CHARLOTTE 3 IN CHARLOTTE

The Miracle scored four in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie.  They then scored two in the sixth and four in the seventh.
Alex Kirilloff was 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs.  He is batting .367.  Aaron Whitefield was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.  Miguel Sano was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs.  He is batting .364.  Mark Contreras was 2-for-5 with a double and a walk, scoring three times.  Ben Rortvedt was 2-for-5.  Travis Blankenhorn was 2-for-6 with a double and two RBIs.
Andro Cutura pitched just three innings, giving up one run on two hits and a walk.  Hector Lujan pitched three shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 2.95.

WISCONSIN 9, CEDAR RAPIDS 3 IN WISCONSIN

The Kernels had a 2-0 lead, but the Timber Rattlers scored six in the third.  K. J. Harrison hit a grand slam in the inning.
Jacob Pearson was 2-for-5 with a home run (his third) and two RBIs.  Royce Lewis was 2-for-5 and is batting .320.  Robby Rinn was 1-for-4 and is batting .320.  Jordan Gore was 0-for-2 with a walk and is batting .301.  Jared Akins was 0-for-4 and is now 0-for-16 in Class A.
Tyler Watson pitched just 2.2 innings, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and two walks and striking out two.  Melvi Acosta struck out six in 3.1 innings, giving up an unearned run on three hits.  His ERA is 2.16.

GCL TWINS 12, GCL ORIOLES 2 AT ORIOLES

Leading 4-1, the Twins scored five in the fifth to put the game out of reach.  Estamy Urena had a two-run double in the inning.
Janigson Villalobos was 2-for-4 with a double and two walks.  He is batting .381.  Tyler Webb was 2-for-4 with a walk and three runs.  He is batting .394.  Edgar Herrera was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.  Urena was 2-for-5 with two doubles and is batting .346.  Yeltsin Encarnacion was 2-for-5 with a walk and is batting .314.  Victor Tademo was 2-for-6 with a walk.  Samuel Vasquez was 0-for-2 and is batting .316.
Zach Featherstone started and pitched a perfect inning.  Dylan Stowell pitched two shutout innings, giving up one hit and striking out one.  His ERA is zero in 6.2 innings.  Osiris German struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up only a walk.  His ERA is 1.29.

DSL TWINS 5, DSL ANGELS 1 AT ANGELS

Wander Valdez singled home a run in the third to break a scoreless tie.  The Twins added two in the fifth and two in the sixth.
The Twins had only two hits, but the Angels made three errors and gave them nine walks.  Jeferson Morales was 0-for-3 with a walk and is batting .359.  Luis Milla was 0-for-2 with a walk and is batting .304.  Brahiap Carrillo was 0-for-2 with two walks and two runs and is batting .300.  Francisco Martinez was 0-for-2 with two walks and is batting .300.
Anthony Escobar struck out six in five shutout innings, giving up three hits and no walks.  His ERA is 1.56 with only five walks in 34.2 innings.  Jose Guevera struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a walk.  His ERA is 0.57.

Games of July 1

A big day for Kennys Vargas.  The Lookouts lose one run at a time.  Miguel Sano hits his first homer of the season for Fort Myers.  Bryan Sammons has a fine game for Cedar Rapids.  An E-Twins comeback falls short.

ROCHESTER 7, LEHIGH VALLEY 6 IN ROCHESTER

The Red Wings led 3-0, but then trailed 5-3 and 6-5.  Cameron Rupp homered in the eighth to tie it and Nick Gordon delivered an RBI single later in the inning for the lead run.
Kennys Vargas was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs.  Byron Buxton was 2-for-5 with a double and is batting .214.  Rupp was 1-for-3 with a walk and the home run was his second.
Kohl Stewart struck out six in six innings but allowed five runs on ten hits and a walk.  Alan Busenitz pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.  His ERA is 1.23.

TENNESSEE 5, CHATTANOOGA 3 IN TENNESSE

The Smokies scored single runs in the second, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh.  The Lookouts closed to 5-3 in the eighth but did not get the tying run on base.
Andy Wilkins was 1-for-3 with a home run, his sixth.  He is batting .354.  Zander Weil was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .301.
Anthony Marzi pitched five innings, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks with no strikeouts.

LAKELAND 11, FORT MYERS 3 IN FORT MYERS

The Flying Tigers led 5-0 through five.  In the sixth, a two-run homer by Miguel Sano and a solo shot by Travis Blankenhorn got the Miracle back in the game at 5-3.  They got right back out of the game in the seventh, as the first six Lakeland batters reached base in a four-run inning.
Sano was 2-for-4 with a home run and is batting .345.  Ben Rortvedt was 2-for-4 with a double.  Alex Kirilloff was 2-for-4 and is batting .341.  Luis Arraez was 1-for-4 and is batting .320.
Brusdar Graterol had a rough time in his high-A debut, lasting just three innings and allowing five runs on nine hits and a walk.  He did strike out three.  Adam Bray pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 2.45.

CEDAR RAPIDS 8, BURLINGTON 0 IN BURLINGTON

The Kernels scored five in the third and three in the seventh.  Jose Miranda hit a three-run homer in the seventh.
Miranda was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk in addition to the home run, his sixth.  Akil Baddoo was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring twice.  Royce Lewis was 1-for-5 and is batting .319.  Jared Akins was 0-for-4 and is now 0-for-12 in his Class A debut.
Bryan Sammons struck out six in six shutout innings, giving up six hits.  His ERA is 2.47.  Jose Martinez struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up three hits.  Calvin Faucher, whose name is apparently pronounced foo-SHAY, pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.  His ERA is 1.16.

PRINCETON 8, ELIZABETHTON 7 IN PRINCETON

It was 8-2 going to the ninth, but the Twins scored five times to make a game of it.  Chris Williams hit a grand slam in the inning.  The Twins had the tying run on second when the game ended.

Games of June 30

Gabriel Moya does well in a Red Wings loss.  Dietrich Enns pitches well in his Chattanooga debut.  Ervin Santana has a successful rehab start.  Trey Cabbage and Royce Lewis lead the Kernels.  Chris Williams hits a big homer for the E-Twins.  A good day for Tyler Webb.  Jeferson Morales continues to hit.

LEHIGH VALLEY 6, ROCHESTER 2 IN ROCHESTER

Trevor Plouffe! hit a three-run homer in the second to give the IronPigs a 3-1 lead.  They led the rest of the way.  Plouffe! is batting .232/.357/.464 for Lehigh Valley this season.  He has mostly been used at DH, but when he has played in the field it has mostly been a second base.
Zack Granite was 2-for-4 with a double.  Chris Carter was 1-for-4 with a home run, his seventh.  Byron Buxton was 0-for-3 with a walk and dropped to .189.
Aaron Slegers struck out eight in six innings, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks.  Gabriel Moya pitched two shutout innings, giving up one hit.  His ERA is 1.64.

TENNESSEE 2, CHATTANOOGA 0 IN TENNESSEE

Both runs scored on a two-run homer by Zack Short in the sixth.  The Lookouts had just one hit, a one-out single in the sixth by Alex Perez.
Andy Wilkins was 0-for-2 with a walk and is batting .356.
Dietrich Enns pitched seven innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk and striking out five in his Chattanooga debut.  Ryne Harper struck out the side in his only inning.

LAKELAND 3, FORT MYERS 1 IN FORT MYERS

CEDAR RAPIDS 11, BURLINGTON 3 IN BURLINGTON

The Kernels scored seven in the first and were never threatened.  Trey Cabbage hit a grand slam in the inning.
Royce Lewis was 3-for-4 with a home run, his eighth.  He scored twice and drove in three and is batting .321.  Jacob Pearson was 3-for-4 with a walk and three runs.  Cabbage was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs.  The homer was his sixth.  Akil Baddoo was 2-for-6 with a double.  He is 7-for-15 in his last three games, raising his average from .216 to .232.  Robby Rinn was 0-for-4 and is batting .323.  Jordan Gore was 0-for-4 with a walk and is batting .304.
Jordan Balazovic had a brilliant game, striking out ten in six shutout innings and giving up just one hit and two walks.  His ERA is 2.36.

ELIZABETHTON 3, DANVILLE 2 IN DANVILLE

Chris Williams hit a two-out homer in the sixth to give the Twins a 3-2 lead.  The only Braves threat after that came in the eighth, when they put men on first and second with none out.
Williams was 2-for-4 with a double and a homer, his second.  He scored twice.  Ryan Jeffers was 1-for-4 and is batting .436.  Yunior Severino was 0-for-4 and is batting .417.  Andrew Cosgrove was 0-for-3 and is batting .385.  Lean Marrero was 1-for-3 and is batting .348.  Ricky De La Torre was 0-for-3 with a walk and is batting .333.
Josh Winder struck out three in three innings, giving up an unearned run on one hit and no walks.  It was his professional debut.  Blair Lasko pitched a scoreless inning, giving up two hits and a walk and striking out one.  Ricky Ramirez struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.  His ERA remains zero in six innings.

GCL TWINS 6, GCL RED SOX 5 AT TWINS (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)

Trailing 5-3, the Twins scored one in the sixth and two in the seventh to win it.  Janigson Villalobos singled home the winning run.
Tyler Webb was 2-for-3 with two runs and is batting .360.  Samuel Vasquez was 2-for-3 and is batting .353.  Villalobos was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and is batting .353.  Yeltsin Encarnacion was 1-for-4 and is batting .333.
Donny Breek struck out six in four innings, giving up two runs on one hit and three walks.  His ERA is 2.57.  J. T. Perez pitched a scoreless innings, giving up two hits.  His ERA remains zero in 2.1 innings.

The Red Sox scored three in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie.  The runs came on a walk, a single, another walk, and three RBI singles.

LEHIGH VALLEY 2, ROCHESTER 1 IN ROCHESTER (10 INNINGS)

A wild pitch and a sacrifice fly plated the lead run in the top of the tenth.  In the bottom half, Zack Granite was thrown out trying to score from second on a sacrifice bunt.
No Red Wing had more than one hit.  Jorge Polanco was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .500.  Byron Buxton was 1-for-5 with a double and is batting .206.
Stephen Gonsalves struck out seven in five innings, giving up one run on three hits and five walks.  Tyler Duffey struck out five in three perfect innings and has an ERA of 1.69.

CHATTANOOGA 7, TENNESSEE 2 IN TENNESSEE

Andy Wilkins hit a two-run homer in the fifth to put the Lookouts up 5-0.  They never led by less than three after that.
Jaylin Davis was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.  Wilkins was 1-for-4 with a walk in addition to the home run.  He scored twice and is batting .372.
Sean Poppen struck out four in four innings but gave up two runs on three hits and three walks.  Ryan Eades struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up three hits.  Sam Clay struck out four in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.  Tyler Jay pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.

FORT MYERS 6, LAKELAND 1 IN FORT MYERS

The Miracle scored four runs in the third to take a 4-1 lead.  Miguel Sano had a two-run single in the inning.

Tyler Wells struck out eight in 6.2 innings, giving up one run on five hits and a walk.  His ERA is 2.54.  Tom Hackimer pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and two walks and striking out one.

CEDAR RAPIDS 7, BURLINGTON 4 IN BURLINGTON (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)

The Kernels scored three in the first and two in the second to take a 5-1 lead.  The Bees scored three in the third to make it 6-4 but could come no closer.
Akil Baddoo was 3-for-5 with a double.  Royce Lewis was 2-for-2 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.  He is batting .307.  Robby Rinn was 2-for-2 with a double and two walks and is batting .341.  David Banuelos was 2-for-4 with a double.  Jordan Gore was 2-for-4 and is batting .305.
Bailey Ober struck out five in five innings, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk.  Melvi Acosta struck out two in two perfect innings and has an ERA of 2.49.

CEDAR RAPIDS 6, BURLINGTON 3 IN BURLINGTON (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)

The Kernels scored two in the first and three in the third to take a 5-1 lead.
Royce Lewis was 3-for-4 with three doubles and is batting .314.  Jordan Gore was 2-for-3 and is batting .311.  Jean Carlos Arias was 2-for-4 with a home run (his fourth) and a double.  Akil Baddoo was 2-for-4 with a home run, his eighth.  Robby Rinn was 1-for-4 with a double and is batting .337.  Jared Akins was 0-for-4, making him 0-for-8 in his Class A debut.
Blayne Enlow pitched just four innings, giving up one run on four hits and two walks and striking out three.  He threw just 62 pitches.

DANVILLE 6, ELIZABETHTON 5 IN DANVILLE

The Twins scored three in the top of the fifth to take a 5-3 lead, but the Braves got all three back in the bottom of the fifth and that ended the scoring.  The Twins had the bases loaded with two out in the sixth but did not get a man past first after that.
Ryan Jeffers was 3-for-5 and is batting .457.  Trevor Casanova was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs and is batting .391.  Ricky De La Torre was 1-for-3 and is batting .357.  Lean Marrero was 0-for-4 with a walk and is batting .350.  Hunter Lee was 0-for-3, making him 0-for-11 in his professional debut.
It was a bullpen game, with Carlos Suniaga striking out three in 2.2 innings but allowing three runs on four hits and three walks.  Moises Gomez struck out six in three shutout innings, giving up a hit and two walks.  Derek Molina pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and striking out one.

DSL TWINS 5, DSL PHILLIES RED 3 AT TWINS

Francisco Martinez' RBI triple in the sixth tied it 3-3 and the Twins scored two more in the seventh to go into the lead to stay.  Luis Milla had a home run in the seventh.
Milla was 2-for-4 with a home run and is batting .317.  Martinez was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs and is batting .314.  Sergio Toribio was 2-for-4 with two runs.  Brahiap Carrillo was 1-for-4 and is batting .313.
Cristian Castro pitched five innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on one hit and two walks.  Luciano De La Cruz struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk.  Moises Causado pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits and striking out one.  His ERA remains zero through three innings.

We start getting caught up.  Good rehab games for Byron Buxton and Jorge Polanco.  A big day for Brent Rooker.  A similar big day for Caleb Hamilton.  Yunior Severino plays like Senior Severino.  The GCL Twins can't hold a lead.  A good game for Jesus Toledo.

ROCHESTER 2, SYRACUSE 1 IN SYRACUSE (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)

RBI singles by Nick Gordon in the third and Leonardo Reginnato in the fourth gave the Red Wings a 2-0 lead.  The lone Chiefs run came on a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Byron Buxton was 2-for-3, raising his average to .240.  Jorge Polanco, in his first rehab game in Rochester, was also 2-for-3.  Ryan LaMarre was 0-for-3 and is batting .342.
Fernando Romero pitched six innings, giving up one run on six hits and two walks and striking out one.  His ERA is 2.33.  John Curtiss pitched a perfect inning, striking out one, and has an ERA of 2.12.

ROCHESTER 7, SYRACUSE 5 IN SYRACUSE (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)

The Red Wings trailed 5-1 through four, but scored two in the fifth and four in the seventh to win the game.  Nick Gordon hit a three-run homer in the seventh to drive in the tying and lead runs.
LaMonte Wade was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs.  Juan Graterol, in his Rochester debut, went 2-for-3.  Jorge Polanco was 2-for-4 with a triple, making his average .571.  Ryan LaMarre was 1-for-3 and is batting .341.  Byron Buxton was 0-for-4 and is batting .207.
It was a bullpen game.  D. J. Baxendale started and pitched 2.1 innings, giving up three hits and a walk and striking out two.  Nick Anderson struck out four in two shutout innings, giving up two hits.  Gabriel Moya pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.  His ERA is 1.74.

TENNESSEE 7, CHATTANOOGA 5 IN TENNESSEE

The Lookouts came back from deficits of 3-0 and 5-2 to tie it 5-5, but Ian Rice hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to win it for the Smokies.
Brent Rooker was 3-for-4 with two home runs (his twelfth and thirteenth) and a double, scoring three times.  Andy Wilkins was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, his fourth.  He is batting .385.  Brian Navarreto was 1-for-4 with a home run, his third.  Jimmy Kerrigan was 0-for-4 and is batting .310.  Zander Weil was 1-for-4 and is batting .305.
Omar Bencomo struck out six in six innings, but allowed five runs on six hits and no walks.

FORT MYERS 13, TAMPA 0 IN FORT MYERS

It was scoreless through three, but the Miracle scored in each of the last six innings.  Their biggest inning was a five-run seventh, which featured a three-run double by Caleb Hamilton.
Hamilton was 3-for-4 with two home runs (his third and fourth) in addition to the double.  He scored three times and drove in five.  Luis Arraez was 3-for-4 with a double and two walks.  He scored twice, drove in two, and is batting .319.  Mark Contreras was 2-for-3 with two walks and three runs.  Shane Carrier was 2-for-5 with a home run, his third.  Lewin Diaz was 2-for-5 with two runs.
Charlie Barnes pitched six shutout innings, giving up three hits and two walks and striking out two.  Hector Lujan struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.

DANVILLE 11, ELIZABETHTON 2 IN DANVILLE

The Braves scored three in the second, four in the third, and three in the fourth to take a 10-0 lead.  The Twins' lone run came on an RBI single by Yunior Severino in the fifth.
Severino was 4-for-5 and is batting .500.  Ricky De La Torre was 2-for-4 with a double and is batting .360.  Lean Marrero was 0-for-2 with a walk and is batting .438.  Ryan Jeffers was 0-for-5 and is batting .433.  Trevor Casanova was 1-for-4 and is batting .368.  DaShawn Keirsey was 0-for-4 and is batting .304.
Tyler Palm pitched just two innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks.  Johan Quezada pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up one walk and striking out two.  His ERA is zero through four innings.  Ricky Ramirez pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is zero through three innings.

GCL RAYS 12, GCL TWINS 11 AT TWINS (11 INNINGS)

The Twins had leads of 2-0, 7-2, and 9-6, but needed a run in the bottom of the ninth to send it to extras.  Each team scored once in the tenth.  Kaleo Johnson doubled home the go-ahead run in the top of the eleventh.  A wild pitch put the tying run on third with one out in the bottom of the inning, but a ground out and a strikeout ended the game.
Janigson Villalobos was 3-for-3 with a triple and a double and is batting .308.  Yeison Perez was 3-for-5 with a home run and a double, scoring twice and driving in three.  Gabe Snyder was 3-for-6 with a home run and scored twice.  Yeltsin Encarnacion was 2-for-6 with a double and two runs and is batting .342.
Prelander Berroa pitched four innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits and two walks and striking out three.

DSL TWINS 8, DSL PHILLIES RED 2 AT PHILLIES RED

The Twins scored two in the first, fifth, eighth, and ninth.  The Phillies Red got single runs in the third and sixth.
Ruben Santana was 2-for-4 with a triple and a double.  He scored twice and drove in two.  He is batting .364.  Jeferson Morales was 2-for-4 with a walk and three runs.  He is batting .351.  Brahiap Carrillo was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.  He is batting .318.  Victor Heredia was 2-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs and is batting .302.
Jesus Toledo pitched five innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk and striking out four.  Jose Guevera pitched two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 0.63.
